MilesToGo app for iPhone and iPad

Miles To Go is both entertaining and educational. It consists of a license plate game, regional facts, quizzes, and a travel log.

The license plate game is easy to use and includes images of license plates from the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and the 10 Canadian provinces. Progress in the game is tracked in a table view as well as on a single-screen progress page.

The “regional facts” section includes images of each state or province, its flag and seal (for states) or coat of arms (for provinces). The facts for each state or province include the capital, largest city, date they officially became part of the United States or Canada, population demographics and other interesting facts.

The quizzes are a great way to test knowledge of capitals, largest cities, official birds/flowers and demographics. This app generates an endless supply of quiz questions based on the information contained in the section of “regional facts”. Quiz scores for questions about the US and Canada are recorded separately.

The travel log provides a place to check off the states and provinces that have been visited. The user can also keep a record of specific places and activities. A quick view and tally of the number of states and provinces visited is also provided.
